Gay For Pay: Can A Guy Really Be Straight If He... →
There is a video of MTV’s True Life last night if you click on the link, you know you want to. The True Life focused on “I Work in the Sex Industry” and the video is about a straight dude who does gay porn. Warning: the following is a bit much for little virgin ears/eyes. “Gay for pay” has always, always fascinated me. Female porn stars certainly do it and it...

My Sister Never Gave In
“When my sister entered high school as a freshman, a group of girls surrounded her during lunch. They knew that she never used bad language. They started teasing her for being a “goodie two shoe”. They told her that she would eventually have to use some bad words if she wanted to fit in. What hurt most was that some of the girls in the crowd were her friends from junior high....

No Cussing Club™ →
Another thing I’ll never understand: why all the fussing about cussing? (I’m hi-larious). We learned in elementary school: “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.” The same should be true for dirty words, they’re just words. But okay, this coming from a girl who says “cunt” on a regular basis, it’s one of my favorite...

jessicagoldharalson: An amazing article by Chloe Angyal about the “I’m not a feminist, but…” phenomenon.   My favorite part of the article: “Third, don’t let advertisers sell you ‘empowerment.’” This is an interesting point, I always find it amusing when women I know claim certain things are “empowering” because it was their choice. Inappropriate?
So Alice and I were just at the bar, drinking beers, High Life for me and Miller Lite for her (classy broads). And we somehow landed on discussing lesbianism, not a common topic, but a good one. One of Alice’s professors thought she and her best friend in college were a couple … awkward! Well, we digressed into dirtily joking about the situation, as we tend to do, and I started to...

If you don't stand for something...
After publicly denouncing American Idol last week, and reading the ensuing and unintentionally hilarious debate, I’ve found myself watching the show more and more. The more I watch it, the more it grows on me. I’ll give up on it soon I’m sure when normal shows return, but for now I will retreat into a cocoon of self-loathing and shame.

Insomnia
Cannot sleep, way too nervous about tomorrow and my little court date. I hate going before the judge, I start to shake. Sadly, I’ve been in court numerous times, but I’m definitely not used to it. I hate the uncertainty of not knowing what’s going to happen. I don’t even know how big my fine will be. I’ve worked myself into a frenzy. And not only that, but I have a...

My computer is sick. No clue what’s going on … but it randomly keeps shutting down, says something with my memory is fucked up, I can’t fix it, I’m annoyed. Also, my Scrabulous games are not showing up on Facebook. This is a tragedy to end all tragedies. Anyone in Athens who’s a PC expert, I’d appreciate some help.

I had the following thought this afternoon: this would be so much easier if I just had a boyfriend* or a husband - better yet, a partner. Yuck. School can be educational
A few things I learned in class today: the majority of people on welfare are poor white women with children, not black women as I had previously assumed, +1 to racial stereotypes that led me to believe this. of all minimum wage workers, a majority, 3/5ths, are women. many young women (well, those in my class) do not get that women consistently earn less than men - across the board.
