dr. tiller in his own words
thecurvature/abbyjean: In July of 1970, I planned to start a dermatology residency. On August 21, 1970, my father, mother, sister and brother-in-law were killed in an aircraft accident. My sister had a 12-month-old boy, Maurice. They had written out a will in longhand the evening before the airplane crash, that I was to raise Maurice. So we took charge of my sister’s boy and we moved back to...

Thanks y’all for the bathing suit suggestions! Wading through options, actually lots of good ones surprisingly. All girls avoid bathing suit shopping right? Currently loving FigLeaves.com thanks to thesmarttart. They have a whole DD+ section, which … uh … is where I reside. Highly recommend for all the other well-endowed ladies I know.

I haven’t bought a bathing suit since 2006. Seriously. I want a vintage-y strapless one-piece or more covered up/supportive two-piece (I am getting up there in age and all) and I want to order it online. In addition, I am extremely busty and short-torsoed, any site suggestions?

athensmusicandarts: Personally, I think instead we should start charging for comments — per comment. Cut back on some of the idiotic, offensive crap that flows out of people so freely. Hear, hear. AJC.com should definitely consider this.

29 year old with 21 kids  →
bthny/destin: “Desmond Hatchett, a 29 year old who lives in Knoxville, Tennessee, has fathered 20 (maybe 21) children with at least 11 different mothers. The kids, who are between 11 months and 11 years old, require food, clothing, etc. which doesn’t come cheap. That’s a problem for their minimum-wage earning father.” When asked if he plans to have anymore, he says, “I didn’t intend...

The study was authored by Angela Fertig, assistant professor in the university’s College of Public Health. We’ve only seen the press release, but a summary says a drinking age of 18: Increases prenatal alcohol consumption among 18- to 20-year-old women by 21 percent; Increases the number of births to 18- to 20-year-olds by 4.6 percent in white women and 3.9 percent in 18- to 20-year-old...

It's been an odd week.
I’m not sure who all is actually invested in my personal life, but I’ll update ya. I got a job. Start on Monday, will work normal hours M-F 8:30-5:00, won’t be able to tumble at work. Especially won’t be able to maintain Bend Me Over at work obviously, but will work on it at night. Job is a receptionist/admin position… and, well, excited about bringing home a...

my "designing women" rant
brookehatfield: I would rather spend two hours sharing fried green beans with bernie madoff than watch a woman who apparently purchased her intellect at t.j. maxx for $2 chase twenty-five men with biceps made of pewter and heads packed with cinnamon toast crunch. Because when future generations look upon what we have left for them, which may by then be little more than off-shore drilling and...

I have a dishes fetish.
It’s like therapy for me. I love cleaning dishes by hand. Glasses, pans, knives, wooden spoons. I treat them all with care. The hot water, the smell of the soap, and the repetition of the movements. I never mind cleaning a sinkful. This fetish does not translate to other cleaning routines sadly. And I hate to unload a dishwasher. I feel this is all normal.

Alcohol: margaritas, high gravity beers, Blue Moons, wine, vodka, Maker’s. Eating out: Mexican food lots of it. Often. Living with a (thin, fast metabolism-ed) boy and eating along with him.
