Help me understand your hate boner for Auburn. We’re nice people, some of us. I’ve certainly met assholes from Athens too, but I don’t assume they represent everyone.
Some of my best friends and my favorite people are Auburn fans. But on the flipside, some of my least favorite people are Auburn fans. People I DESPISE. (Friends: which are you?! DO YOU KNOW? You should.) I have hated Auburn for awhile but it’s been ratcheted up over the past few years with their beating us and their smugness and the fact that the people I spend the most time around, other than UGA fans, are Auburn fans. Last year was miserable. I mean I dated a guy in 2005 who was an Auburn fan and they beat us and it was super close that year… and I was already crying about the loss (I KNOW) and then he texted me some super awful shit about the game and gloating and my hate just grew.
Basically, it’s personal.
