I have work to do so I shouldn’t get into a huge debate on Facebook so I’m not I guess. But I just let myself get so upset that people would not donate to worthy causes or let their daughters be in Girl Scouts because they happen to give money to Planned Parenthood. It pissed me off when my mother stopped volunteering with the United Way because they gave money to Planned Parenthood. I realize that this one small issue will always be paramount to anti-abortion supporters but to me it just feels like they’re cutting off their nose to spite their face.
Discounting all the work Komen and March of Dimes has done, the women and children and families they’ve helped and supported and the research they’ve conducted for the notion that abortion supersedes all other good works and negates the impact, is what’s really sad. This is why I’ve recently stayed away from internet arguments of this kind or not clicked on articles that discuss the deterioration of our right to choose, because I am very stressed and crazed with work right now and now I’m just frustrated at my desk. Blergh. I guess I should do something outside of just complaining, I think that would make me feel better.
