CULTURE-PICKIN’
I was born, raised, and now currently work in Atlanta. I’ve lived OTP, ITP, and across country (but always with Georgia on my mind). My existential dilemma with Atlanta is that, while I have some pretty thick roots here, I’m constantly wishing there was more to it — more to see, more to do, more to experience, more to get excited about. I get complacent here too easily, consequently threatening to leave once every couple months. But the sad reality of it is that, as soon as I do, something about this city always brings me back. I love to hate it, I hate to love it, therefore I’ll always be a magnet to the great clusterfuckery that is Atlanta.
Sure, it can be too simple and uninspired at times, but it’s also growing (re: sprawling) as fast as an unchecked kudzu problem. And while Atlanta always hopes to be as powerful as her Yankee counterparts, she can’t ever seem to get her act together.  Atlanta is too at odds with her own identity to ever really get her shit together. And in that regard, I think Atlanta and I were kind of made for each other.
I created this blog to cultivate what I love about ATL — the good, the bad, the downright weird and quirky. So whether you’re a native or one of our many transplants, we all have to admit that, as much fun as it is to hate-ATL, there’s a sweet crop of culture in Atlanta that’s ripe for the pickin’.

My high school friend Liza shows up on Tumblr and puts me to shame. Excited to read all about your adventures! And would love to join on some… :)
