My husband and I were in the same boat during college. We would get a lot of flack for our movie choices, we started to flaunt it. We made shirts for “the hellfire club” and put a big R on the front pocket. We just got sick of all the judgmental people!
Right before that, I was kicked out of my house because I used the TV to watch an R rated movie, and my roommate did not want her TV to be infected with sin or something. A girl at my husband’s house was very vocal about leaving during an R rated movie, but they found her later having sex with someone. I thought it was funny that she wouldn’t watch and R rated movie, but she would live an R rated life, LOL! Ah college… So glad I am not there anymore!
