Je suis tres desole:I was supposed to go to Atlanta tonight (from Athens where I reside when school is in session) and attend the MGMT show at The Earl. I am no longer able to attend because I got myself into a little mess while visiting Austin,TX in March 2006, when I attended SXSW. Long story short: somehow Texas has flagged my license or something. I went to the DMV yesterday to renew my license and they took it from me and until I clear up the sitch, I can’t (shouldn’t) drive (at least not all the way to Atlanta). I know there are worse things going on in the world and I’m an adult so I should suck it up, but I’m fucking pissed. Also, the show is apparently sold out, but since my tickets are at will call, I can’t even put them into my friend’s name so others can make use of the tickets. I’m still working on that though. Le sigh.*Haha. Never mind, crisis averted. Ticket Alternative made it sound like it was the ultimate no-no to switch tickets, but the guy at The Earl was cool and accomodating, yay.* I’ve included this picture of my mother (on the right - such a hottie) and my aunt doing a buttery nipple shot after my cousin’s wedding ‘cause it always makes me smile. To those attending the show: I am jealous.
