“Studies have shown that men more often view flirting as indicative of sexual interest, while women see it simply as fun and friendly behavior.”

Ugh. So true. And I have a tendency to “flirt” with many of my guy friends without really realizing it and then having them try something. When you turn a friend down who you really like as just a friend, it usually puts a strain on the friendship and that sucks. How can I be like, no I don’t want to hook up with you or go out with you and still continue to be buddies with the guy? And maybe I’m naive but I do not buy that the only reason guys are friends with girls is because they want to fuck them. At least I hope not …
Truth be told, I flirt more when I’m not sexually attracted to someone because I still get nervous around guys I like (does that ever stop? I’m 24, I’d like it to). Well unless I’m drunk and then I flirt with anyone owning a penis. And I hate to admit it, but I also flirt when I want something.
