My favorite part of the article: “Third, don’t let advertisers sell you ‘empowerment.’” This is an interesting point, I always find it amusing when women I know claim certain things are “empowering” because it was their choice. Paying for your own breast implants and then saying it was an “empowering” thing because it was your choice and your money is kind of bullshit. Why’d you get those breast implants, or whatever it may be, in the first place huh? To fit into the impossible ideal of what beautiful is? More than likely, yes.
