Draft-board free falls have everything to do with NFL scouts and coaches getting a opportunity to scrutinize game film. After watching tape of [Hawaii QB Colt] Brennan’s junior season, I’m guessing teams would’ve had many of the same concerns in 2007 that they had in 2008: questionable arm strength and the ubiquitous character issues.

Colt Brennan (Wrongly) Thinks He Lost Millions by Returning for Senior Season - FanHouse

Oh yes, those “character issues” … Brennan is a felon and June Jones should have never allowed him (or the other felons that played for Hawaii) on his team. Case in point:

On January 28, 2004, Brennan entered the dorm room of a University of Colorado coed uninvited and, according to the coed “exposed himself and fondled her’,” a charge which Brennan denied. Brennan, who was intoxicated at the time of the incident, was arrested and eventually convicted of charges of felony burglary and trespassing(serving one week in jail along with probation until he graduated from college), but a guilty verdict for unlawful sexual contact was vacated by the court for lack of evidence. After the incident, which was caught up in the middle of the time when CU was flooded with other accusations of sex crimes and revelations of wild recruiting parties involving Colorado football players, Brennan was kicked off the team.
