Oh hi, Atlanta. How are you doing?

That’s actually a great question.  I’m going down there for business over Presidents’ Day Weekend (ugh) and I will need stuff to do.  What do I need to see?

I’m mostly reblogging this so that my friends can help you out because I’ve never actually lived in Atlanta. the last time I was home I ate at Flipburger, which was excellent. don’t ever go to the Varsity, no matter what anyone tells you. East Atlanta Village has lots of bars and restaurants and stuff. so yeah, anyone else have any recommendations?

The Porter Beer Bar in Little Five is wonderful and a new favorite for me. Something like 500 beers and pretty scrumptious food. My new favorite brunch place is Rosebud in Morningside. Taqueria del Sol has awesome margaritas and cheese dip, I’m not a huge fan of their food but I usually like some of their specials, LOTS of people like their tacos. Some of my favorite bars are in Virginia Highlands: Hand in Hand, Moe’s & Joe’s, Blind Willie’s, Dark Horse OR Buckhead: Pool Hall, Red Door and Five Paces (basicallygrownupfrattydivebars). Murphy’s in Virginia Highlands has good brunch as well. My all-time favorite restaurant ever ever, which I get made fun of for all the time, La Fonda Latina which has my favorite salsa. If you can get a reservation, Woodfire Grill is scrumptious, but reservations are scarce. Also, in East Atlanta, Graveyard is a cool place and a former co-worker of mine, Justin Bright, is the chef. In Inman Park, Fox Bros. BBQ is very very yummy. … I’ll stop there.

To see in Atlanta, our “tourist” attractions: GA Aquarium and the new Coke museum AND AND AND the National Patriotism museum. (Never been to any of those 3, guess I should.) Not sure what else I’d recommend to see, other than Clermont Lounge. Must be seen to be believed.

Too lazy for links. My bad.
