I screengrabbed this a couple days ago, but decided not to do anything with it till today. Charter Communications is tied for last for customer satisfaction for cable companies. There is a whole website devoted to the severe suckitude of Charter — it really is absolutely the worst service company I’ve ever dealt with. Having lived in Athens for however many years (too many), I’ve been forced to use Charter because they are the only game in town. They know this and offer horrible service for high prices. Dealing with them is a bi-monthly thing because something is always fucking up … like today.
Someone moved out of an apartment connected to us this morning and while the Charter guy disconnected their cable/internet at 11am, he also disconnected the whole building’s. I called 10 minutes after this took place to alert them of the outage and they had no idea what was going on. 4 hours later our TV and internet is still out, I call back and no one has any idea what’s going on. It took them until 3:30 to figure the dude made a mistake and they just needed to flip our stuff back on. This is probably the smallest issue I’ve ever had with them, they are notorious for intermittent service and just plain bad customer service.
My question, if you don’t mind: how much do you pay for high-speed internet and basic cable? We pay $59 for internet and $53 for basic cable a month. I cannot remember how much I paid in Atlanta, but is that a pretty normal price?
