Not sure what to make of this.
New landlord emails me: “Hey. The old tenants left a microwave. Just an FYI.”
I reply (a bit kidding, a bit not): “Oh they did? I actually have one. Maybe I’ll just keep whichever one is nicer and donate the other to Goodwill. Unless you are opposed to that.”
I get an email back: “Since you have one, and the one they left is actually mine (I lent it to them when they moved in) let’s just use yours. Thanks.”
I feel like an asshole, but I’m not actually an asshole. He could have told me it was his… Just: awkward. This isn’t the first email exchange that has gone this way. Should be an interesting year.
