I’ve been job searching for about a month now and since I finished school a week or so ago, hardcore job searching and I’m amazed every day by the amount of job posters who cannot spell. It’s certainly a “buyers’ market” for companies needing to fill positions and beggars (me) can’t be choosers, but when you spell “clientele” as “cliental” in your job listing, it makes me a lot less likely to want to work for you. What’s amusing is that is does not matter what type of job or company it is, many are misspellers. I’m looking for any job at this point, meaning I’m going to be filling out a bunch of applications to start waiting tables again, and restaurants listing ads looking for servers and law firms needing paralegals both seem to not be able to use spell check to entice us job seekers to work for them.
