Yep, pretty much ready to have my tubes tied.
Went to Uncle Shuck’s corn maze today in Dawsonville about 40 mins north of the city and we were one of only a handful of people there without offspring. Plus a few church youth groups milling about as well. It was fun, I was not navigating so we managed to find our way out of both the mazes and they weren’t actually that easy (well, for me). They’re politcally themed, one maze is Democrat the other is Republican. Hardy-har-har.
Anyways, the kiddies. AWFUL. Tweenagers are pretty much complete wastes of space. They were running through the maze screaming Marco! Polo! and just generally being obnoxious. Just the sort of thing that fits into the Best Birth Control of All mentality.
After the maze we headed to the Longhorn Steakhouse in Dawsonville, where I tried to get a margarita and was told they do not serve liquor on Sundays, only beer and wine on the Lord’s Day in Dawson County. Seems odd to me, why not ban it all on Sunday? You can get just as looped on wine, and maybe beer, as you can on liquor.
All in all a lovely day.
